I came home from work and found this awesome dragonfly watching over our backyard. I quickly ran in the house and grabbed my camera and began shooting, knowing I wanted to capture a few good shots and create something special. I got more shots than I realized, which pleased me to no end. In 2007 my family lost my father to cancer (8/28/07). Shortly after his passing my mother read that dragonflies are said to carry the souls of our loved ones. Since that time my mother has been surounded by dragonflies, both real and artifical. I have never seen dragonflies flock to someone like they do my mother. I feel something special each time I see one. In this case I knew I wanted to make the images extra special.
